New York Magazine features Pike Street Fish Fry in the travel section this month!

A nice little write-up in New York Magazine discussing the gourmet grub in off-season Seattle.

The Weekend Escape Plan -- Seattle -- New York Magazine :
Avoid the tourists at Pike Place Market and instead enjoy Seattle's fresh catch at Pike Street Fish Fry, a hole-in-the-wall spot in Capitol Hill. Eat fish and chips from newsprint with curried ketchup and a slice of fried lemon (from $7). Pints of Fat Tire are $2 and the fries are free on the third Friday of every month (5–7 p.m.). New Happenings @ The Pike Street Fish Fry

We have had a wonderful month here at the Pike Street Fish Fry. Free Fridays and our new 2nd Sunday shows have been a big hit.

We have added house made soups to the menu for these colder months of winter we are currently wading through.

Currently we are featuring our house made Tomato Basil soup. Stop by before it's all gone!

Pike Street Fish Fry Holiday Party Photos!

Huge Thanks to everyone who made our Holiday Party such a tremendous time. Caffe Vita, Via Tribunali, The Crocodile, and Pike St. Fish Fry banded together to ring in the Holidays and the New Year. Head Like a Kite, Dr. Dr., and The Raggedy Ann's took the stage - plus we had a unprecedented reunion of Seattle grunge super group Green Apple Quick Step. Here are some of the many pics.

Fresh Nisqually Salmon & Washington Steelhead Today!

We have received our order of beautiful fresh wild caught Nisqually Salmon & Washington Steelhead!
These beautiful fish are local and seasonal.

Steelhead is a species of Rainbow Trout that are ocean going. Steelhead has tender flesh and a mild, somewhat nutty flavor. If you have never had a chance to enjoy this wonderful fish now is your chance as their fishing season will be coming to an end shortly.

The Niqually Salmon is also a late running, between November and January, locally caught Chum salmon. The name "Chum" comes from the Chinook Indian Jargon term tzum, meaning "spotted" or "marked."
